Microneedling can be used to treat fine lines, acne scars, traumatic scars, stretch marks, hyper-pigmentation, hypo-pigmentation and to improve the overall texture, tone, and color of the skin. Tiny needles are used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to produce collagen and elastin. The skin’s repair process results in a thicker dermis with softer wrinkles.
Microneedling also creates microchannels which allow topical gels, creams and serums to be absorbed more effectively, enhancing their effects in deeper layers of the skin. Most patients are red for 2-4 days while some heal completely in 24 hours. It is recommended that most patients receive a series of 2-3 treatments spaced 6-8 weeks apart. For patients with deep wrinkles, advanced photo-aging, stretch marks or acne scars it is recommended to receive 6-8 sessions at 6 week intervals. Only a few days after the treatment patients notice a “glow” to their skin. Visible changes to the skin develop over the course of several weeks. Results continue to improve up to 6 months after the treatment as collagen production continues. For optimal results it is suggested that Microneedling be used with PRP.

This was my third visit out of a four visit package I paid for to try and get some of my facial hair removed by Laser. After just the first session I saw a huge difference in the amount of growth and it just has gotten less and less after each session. Sue, the nurse, has made me feel so comfortable and she truly wants to help me get this under control. I created the problem on the side of my face where your hair naturally dips down a little in front of the ear. A few years ago when I was battling with OCD, I was pulling out the hairs in that area and then what grew in was stiff stubble. Now after my third treatment almost all the stubble is gone! I’m so happy with the results that I may decide to have my legs done.
