Lasers treat vascular webs, spider veins, varicose veins, and vascular tumors anywhere on the body, except within the orbit of the eye. The procedure causes minimal discomfort, with most patients describing the treatment as a mild, brief, sting-like sensation. Pre-cooling during patient prep minimizes discomfort from the laser pulse.
Although most patients require only one session, certain conditions may require up to three treatments. The procedure requires little down time, but we request you refrain from vigorous activity for 24 hours and avoid sunlight exposure unless using SPF30 sunblock or higher.
Cutera’s Coolglide treats a broad range of vessels from tiny spider veins to deep blue reticular veins quickly, safely, and effectively. Small facial veins can be treated quickly without bruising or complication. Spider veins and large blue leg veins can also be treated with excellent results. Knotty varicose veins are not good candidates. A quick consultation can help you determine which vessels can be treated and the best course of treatments. Often, patients find that one or two treatments are sufficient. However, the number of treatments necessary depends on the number, color, and size of vessels being treated. Most experience a stinging sensation as the pulses of energy are delivered, but patients can opt to use topical anesthetic prior to the treatment. Following the treatment, some redness or bruising may occur and for most patients the pain is minimal to nonexistent.

This was my third visit out of a four visit package I paid for to try and get some of my facial hair removed by Laser. After just the first session I saw a huge difference in the amount of growth and it just has gotten less and less after each session. Sue, the nurse, has made me feel so comfortable and she truly wants to help me get this under control. I created the problem on the side of my face where your hair naturally dips down a little in front of the ear. A few years ago when I was battling with OCD, I was pulling out the hairs in that area and then what grew in was stiff stubble. Now after my third treatment almost all the stubble is gone! I’m so happy with the results that I may decide to have my legs done.
