CO2 SmartXide DOT
Laser Skin Rejuvenation / Resurfacing

The newest laser to hit the U.S. market is the SmartXide DOT CO2 fractional laser.  This laser treats wrinkles, scarring and brown spots with 90-95% of patients saying they are very satisfied with the treatment results.  The DOT is the only CO2 fractional laser to be FDA approved to tighten and lift skin.  SmartXide has been used in Europe for five years with great success.

We also offer Cutera's Laser Genesis for resurfacing. The Cutera Coolglide was the first laser we acquired for skin rejuvenation to smooth skin and reduce pore size.  We still have patients coming back for more treatments because of the great results in improved skin texture and pore size.  To further complement the array of lasers is our IPL which treats rosacea and brown spots.

Hair Removal
Laser Treatment

Lasers accomplish hair removal by emitting a beam of light that is attracted to the pigment or melanin in an actively growing hair follicle.  A customized setting based on hair color and coarseness is absorbed by the follicle, disabling growth and resulting in quick, safe, and effective hair removal.

Reddening and swelling of the skin are desired reactions, and the effect usually subsides in a few hours after treatment.  No bandages are necessary, so one may return to work and continue normal activities.  Reduction will occur within two to four weeks; an average of four treatments is necessary for optimal results.

Brown Spot Removal
Xeo Laser

The Xeo laser quickly, safely, and comfortably removes sunspots, melasma, and freckles without requiring topical anesthetic.  Pigment will flake off after one or two treaments, leaving younger, healthier looking skin underneath.  Brown pigment spots selectively absorb the laser beam.  Heating of these pigments cause the cells to flake off, leaving the therapeutic efffect of clear skin.

The laser treatment feels like a brief pinching or warming sensation.  Treated skin will redden initially, then eventually darken and flake off after two weeks.  Dramatic results occur with one to three treatments, with additional sessions required for large or very dark areas.

Acne Treament
Laser Treatment

The Omnilux is a great laser treatment for active acne and is also inexpensive.  It requires that the patient have two twenty minute treatments a week for four weeks.  For larger acne pustules Cutera's Cool Glide is an effective treatment.  A complimentary consultation with one of our RN's will help you decide which treatment is best for you.

While topical and oral medications treat most acne successfully, laser treatment can reduce the level of antibiotic medication required.  Laser pulsing not only improves inflamed acne, but also reduces acne scarring.  Most patients require five monthly treatments with periodic additional sessions as acne flares. Numbing topical anesthetic cream may be requested to minimize discomfort.

Microdermabrasion
DiamondTome

DiamondTome Microdermabrasion skin care exfoliates the epidermis of the skin while simultaneously promoting blood and lymph movement.  In addition to surface exfoliation, microdermabrasion promotes the production of new cells in the deep, basal layer of the dermis, it cleans the pores, and stimulates collagen production that can further improve skin texture.  Microdermabrasion can be successfully used on light or dark skin to treat the face, neck, chest, arms, elbows, knees and hands.

Benefits of microdermabrasion:

  • Gives the skin an overall fresh, healthy-looking glow.
  • Non-surgical, safe, effective "lunch hour" procedure.
  • Effective on all skin colors and types.
  • No anesthetic required.
  • Excellent for skin sensitive to chemical procedures.
  • Normal activities can be resumed immediately.
  • Virtually no side effects.
Glycolic Peels
Glycolic Acid Stimulant

Glycolic Peels help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, smooth rough textures, lighten dark spots, and eliminate dead skin build up.  The glycolic acid stimulates the skin's own renewal cycle, allowing it to appear younger.  The strength of the glycolic acid can be tailored to each person's skin type and needs.  This procedure offers excellent preparatiion for laser treatment as well as good post-laser periodic maintenance.  Glycolic peels can also be applied to hands and feet.

Vein Removal
Laser Treatment

Lasers treat vascular webs, spider veins, varicose veins, and vascular tumors anywhere on the body, except within the orbit of the eye.  The procedure causes minimal discomfort, with most patients describing the treatment as a mild, brief, sting-like sensation.  Pre-cooling during patient prep minimizes discomfort from the laser pulse.  Although most patients require only one session, certain conditions may require up to three treatments.  The procedure requires little down time, but we request you refrain from vigorous activity for 24 hours and avoid sunlight exposure unless using SPF30 sunblock or higher.

Botox and Juvederm
Cosmetic Muscle Relaxer & Dermal Filler

Botox before and after:

Juvederm before and after:

Juvederm, as well as Restylane and Radiesse, are dermal fillers while Botox Cosmetic relaxes muscles.  All treatments can enhance the appearance of the face.  Dermal fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, a biocompatible substance identical to what is naturally found in our bodies. Areas such as the nasolabial fold and marionette lines can be softened to turn back the clock.  Many patients love the results they get from filling their lips to create a natural fullness.  Botox relaxes the muscles, producing a smoothing of the skin and loss of wrinkles, especially the gabellar, crows feet, and forehead.

A complimentary consultation with one of our physicians or consultants will customize just what procedure will be most beneficial.  Many times we will use these applications in tandem to give optimal results.
